It seems that everyone wants to market a distinctly colored frying pan on TV any more. First there was the Orgreenic. More recently, the Yoshi Blue came along. Not to be left out of the colored cookware party, the folks from NuWave (who previously marketed the NuWave Oven to much acclaim, all the while proving inept at spelling the word “New”) enter the fray with the NuWave Perfect Green.
So it is a coated skillet that helps prevent you from burning your eggs…and it is green in color. How does it differ from the Orgreenic? You know – that other green pan that helps you not burn your eggs. You also get 4 ceramic cutting boards with this offer, which will cost you $29.95 plus $9.95 shipping and handling, which is conveniently charged twice – once for the first pan and then again for the ‘free’ pan. They throw in a ceramic knife as well, and as far as I can tell, they don’t stick you for yet another shipping and handling charge for it. So your grand total when you are done comes to just under $50.
The coating is a Duralon coating on the pans – I, for one, have never heard of Duralon. Whatever it is, they say you won’t need any oils or sprays to keep your food from sticking. So if that is indeed true, you may get your $50 back over time. If you have tried the NuWave Perfect Green, please leave a review in the comments.
