Written by Here is a nightlight pillow called appropriately enough, the Bright Light Pillow. This is similar to the Dream Lites nightlight pillow by the makers of Pillow Pets, except these pillows are in the shapes of hearts, squares, and other boring and uninspired shapes.
But they do look pretty cool. But the Bright Light Pillow people have also outdone themselves and created a nightlight blanket as well, which looks pretty groovy and psychedelic.
The lights in the pillow are LED and they say they will never burn out, and also, they do not emit any heat. So you don’t have to worry about Junior suffering from any third degree burns to his face. That’s reassuring.
How a kid can fall asleep with his pillow shinning in his face, I’ll never know. But who cares? Kids seem to love these things. The lights in these pillows also change colors automatically. It does use 3 AA batteries, so you’ll have to switch those out from time to time. There’s no mention as to how often you’ll need to replace the batteries, so if you have firsthand experience or knowledge with this latest entry into the nightlight pillow war, please leave what you know in the comments. The website says it works for ‘hundreds of hours’ which will go by pretty quick when it adds up 8 hours at a time.
I also can’t tell if you have to turn it on and off or if it comes on automatically when you lay your wee little head on the pillow. So many questions and so few answers. This is an As Seen on TV product, after all, so I shouldn’t be surprised. Also, please let the world know if you receive your order quickly, how customer service was, etc.

You have to buy the pillow for $19.99 then $7.99 for shipping then after paying that you can order the blanket for $39.99 with $7.99 shipping….really cool looking but i have read online that the blanket and pillows get EXTREMELY hot so I’m wondering if it can cause burns and seems very expensive to me.

I bought one for my son’s room in a guizmos and gadgets store a while back. It is a fun pillow and it really doesn’t heat up. The one problem I have with the pillow is the battery pack is made of hard plastic and it is a bit heavy. So if you throw the pillow or even try playing pillow fight, then you can seriously injure someone. They need to work on improving that issue. Otherwise from that, the fabric is really soft and it is fun to have.

Hi, I just got ahold of someone at the 800 number and they gave me an 855 number (its on the website in small letters). She said that there are 2 pillows in 1 order, so if you put 2 like I did, you got 4 pillows and charged twice. You have to ask for the charge to be adjusted and not to send all 4. I was given a processing number. I ordered on 4-8 and she said it was not shipped yet, but I can not find the page to check on its status!!

My wife and I would like to thank all you for posting the problems you have had with this company. We would also say we are sorry for the sham that this companymust certaintly be!!!! We wanted to buy both a pillow and blanket for our first grandson who will be 1 on June of this year. I have learned along time ago to “heed the warning less you become the fool”!!! I have learned to research any product you cannot buy in a store. I have a grown handicapped daughter who would simply love this and was considering ordering it for her to hold for the Christmas season. Now I am grateful to all of you who wrote to say this appears to be a SCAM and until/unless this item sells in stores like it should, I will not go near the site again and won’t be ordering something my daughter would be so happy to have ending up disappointed when it doesn’t come. This is the company phone number. (855) 635-5366 I called the company and they told my that to get the blanket you must order the pillow and then it will cost you 39.99. So to get the blanket you pay the 19.99 for the pillow 7.99 to ship the pillow then the cost of the blanket and then the shipping for the blanket which they did not tell me but I would imagine it is more than 7.99 the cost would be at least $76.00.
If you look at the web site they say that the order fill be filled in 30 days. They also say that the will collect your information pass it on. There is a link to track orders that takes you to another site.
The company Pillow Pets is located at the same address I do not know if the same company but they seem to have the same problems and are rated F by the BBB.
This blanket is awesome definitely if you enjoy rolling. It feels super nice and soft as hell and the lights look rather amazing x)
I saw he bad reviews but I also have a 9 year old daughter with a birthday coming up. So I decided to call after trying a few numbers the last couple days the only one that worked was 1-855-635-5366. I am glad I called. I knew they wouldn’t speak english well but oh my goodness! Such a mess, the lady hung up on me for asking her to explain my charges before giving her my credit card. You can tell they are super busy and all you hear are people talking in the back ground. However I wanted to add one more strange thing that I have not heard yet on this website….. She offered me a blanket for $30, she said it was better and more comfortable and I would save $9.99. I told her I just wanted the one on commercial for $39.99 and she kept telling me I didnt. So maybe they have a new product, not sure? If you do order pillow keep in ming you are getting TWO. They only come in a two pack, however they dont call it that. They use the word deluxe, I believe. Anyways my daughter will not have this product until its in stores. I know it will be soon, I only hope a different company comes out with a similar one because these people are hurting A LOT of people on purpose by not answering the phones, late shipping, and they can not even tell you why you bill is so high! I just called the 1-866-305-1363 number and spoke to a representative. I was expecting some nasty woman to pick up, but spoke to a rather informative young lady. I asked if the pillows come in packs of two and she informed me that each pillow is 19.99 plus shipping. The blanket is 5 x 6 and is spot clean only, and ships free if you order three items at a time. They are on back order for another 4 to 6 weeks form today (July 10, 2012) and are expected to be in stores within the next two to three months. I did not place an order since I need the items in a couple weeks, and will not be placing an order since you can not machine wash either the pillow or blanket. I have a two and six year old who desperately want these, but without being able to sanitize them, I will not waste my money. I hope this helps some of you.
I ordered the bright light pillow and blanket on June 11. I thought that I would have it by the time my granddaughters birthday on July 14. As of yet no pillow or blanket and no clue when or if she will ever get it. I called customer service I went on the web site with no satisfaction. I deluxe the order and what I can see from my order is you get 1 square pillow and 1 blanket and 1 free pack of AA batteries. So anybody who wants to deluxe their order it’s not worth it. My order total is $85.95. The pillow was $29.98 for the deluxe,the blanket was $39.99, and a free pack of AA batteries. It cost $15.98 shipping. My granddaughter is the one who is going to be very disappointed on her birthday,because her birthday is in 3 days. The commercial is still running,and more people are still ordering. I might have this for Christmas but I sort of doubt it. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!

We ordered this pillow over a month ago. Right after we started getting calls from ppl trying to sell us additional stuff. 2 weeks ago we were told we would get it in 2 weeks. Yesterday we were told it would be an additional 4 to 6 weeks. Do some research people all over are complaining about the same thing. This is a scam, they take your money and sell your info. There are multiple complaints filed against them!

what a scam! they took almost three months to charge my card. Hada gas voucher compnay call me on my cel phone. Then when i finally got through to them, they said that I could refuse the order and they owuld credit my card after THEY receive them. I’m retired now but I was in in the legal field as both an attorney and as an advocate. Hang on…I’m going right to consumer protection at the government level. The disappointment in my granddaughters eyes when I did not have what Nana promised was beyond infuriating. after almost 3 months, they don’t send my order, but ship anyway and still they sy it will be another 5-7 bsuiness days. Now that is going to exactly 93 days since they took my order. They sell to people who are going to give them to children. If you do this kind of business, then you better deliver when you say. They did not fulfill their contract to myself and others as they shipped over the contracted time and if you say 4-8 weeks or offer special shipping and don’t deliver…you’re in lieu of contract. Plain and simple. Do I trust them to refund my money? Doubtful. I may hold on to the pillows (I paid for them and am ambiguous about getting my refund) and use them as evidence later. but if they don’t make it right with everyone they did not do right by…then a class action suit is a possibility.

I contacted the number on the dreamlite official website and it is a bogus number. And I contacted the number that was on the comments and the woman I talked to said it was the wrong number she gave me the number for dreamlites and it said the number was no longer active. I am very upset I bought my granddaughter a dreamlite for her birthday in June and the button to turn it on stopped working and the charger adapter doesn’t work I spent over 40.00 for it to last 2 months!

My girls love them. However, I thought one of the blankets was broken, as it started not to work properly after 1 1/2 weeks. Turns out- the batteries were almost dead (which causes the blanket not to work right). This is going to get mighty expensive if I need to change batteries every 1 1/2 weeks. Worth it for now as my girls do really love the products- and when working properly, very, very cool in a dark room.
